So it was rumored on the Internets earlier in the week that American Golden boy Michael Phelps was dating Olympic swimmer turned Playboy Playmate Amanda Beard. However, when asked about the rumors on a recent radio interview, Beard said, “EW! I have taste,” and was not linked with the 8-time gold medalist hottie. Come on Amanda, there’s at least a million girls who’d kill to be linked with Phelps, and since your career has digressed to stripping off your skivies for everyone from Hugh Hefner to PETA, it might have done you some good to think about spending some time with Phelps.

Kyle Orton will be named the starter for the regular season, the Bears announced. Lovie Smith confirmed the decision after practice.
Orton had a solid training camp and performed well in the team’s first exhibition, while Rex Grossman struggled as the starter in Saturday’s exhibition

Clay Aiken has realized that one can form an addiction to TV, such as “American
Idol”.

I feel like Idol is a drug of some kind,” Aiken told People magazine in an
interview published Tuesday. “Like you think you can’t live without it until
you finally do, and then you realize, ‘You know what? Life is fine without this
show. I’m gonna be okay.’ Not that I’ve done drugs!”

As he was the not first, but the runner-up on the 2nd season of American Idol,
Aiken has been occupied with the music career he has embarked upon. That said,
it comes as a surprise that he’s had any time to watch previous seasons of the
Fox mega-hit that made him a household name. He’s released three albums with
the most recent, “A Thousand Different Ways,” being released last September.
However, ten of his most recent album’s fourteen tracks were cover songs,
making Aiken eager to return to the studio following a tour this summer.

“The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy,” Clay Aiken said. “Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also.”
