Report: Aiken Impregnates Woman by Artificial Insemination

The mother is Aiken’s 40-something best friend Jaymes Foster — a record producer whose L.A. home he stays at when he is in town, TMZ.com reported.
Due in late August, Foster divorced a few years back and does not have kids, the Web site reported. She has produced several of the 29-year-old “American Idol” star’s CDs.
Foster was artificially inseminated, but Clay will reportedly play an active role in raising the child, according to TMZ.com.

Too often with pop music, especially with dance-oriented music, slick production techniques supersede the expectation of an artist possessing actual singing ability. Clever hooks and beats compensate for any vocal deficiencies, rendering the artist all but incidental to the overall creation. Such was certainly the case in the age of disco, yet Donna Summer stood out specifically because, in addition to delivering some of the ‘70s’ most exquisitely sophisticated and sensual songs, she could sing the hell out of them.

.  This CD was released under Sony BMG Music Entertainment and even debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200.  Not too shabby for a band that many lost interest in.
