Two weeks ago American Idol 2 runner-up Clay Aiken made a guest
appearance on Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? This week, another
American Idol finalist will be making an appearance on the popular game
show.
Kellie Pickler from the fifth season of American Idol will play the game for her favorite charity. In addition to Pickler, Billy Busy from Access Hollywood will also be participating in this special celebrity edition of the show.

A record producer “toils in anonymity,” Phil
Ramone writes of his profession in his book “Making
Records.” “We ply our craft deep into the night,
behind locked doors.”
Not every producer stays anonymous, of course. Think of
Phil Spector, in his glory days, or Tim baland, now. But
Ramone, who has worked with everyone from John Coltrane
to Clay Aiken, is a behind- locked-doors kind of guy,
uninterested in promoting himself or imposing his musical
vision on artists. It’s easy to describe what a
Spector or Timbaland record sounds like. But a Phil

Today is the first day of the November ratings sweeps. Never mind sounding the trumpets. A kazoo will do. There was a time when a big ratings sweeps month, when Nielsen polled the whole country to see what we were watching, was a really big deal. The networks went all out to steal viewers from one another’s regular series. They did it with big specials featuring megastars, big-budget miniseries and blockbuster movies.
